Creating mosaics is my obsession!
I made my first stained glass mosaic back in June 2011 from scrap glass, kindly given to me by my partner Alan, who makes and designs beautiful stained glass windows at Angel Stained Glass. It seemed a shame to dispose of such beautiful pieces of glass so after a lot of trial and error and cut fingers I came up with a mosaic of a fish. I fixed the pieces of glass to a mirror base and was totally amazed at the colour and light that was achieved by this technique, forgive the pun but I was hooked!
Since then I have developed my technique using smaller and smaller pieces of glass to achieve as much detail as possible. Hours of work go in to every mosaic and no two are ever the same. Each tiny piece of glass is cut by hand, glued down, grouted and polished.

Stained glass it is such a wonderful medium to work with, it's colours, texture, and translucent qualities play a very important role in my mosaics, but the most important ingredient in my work is light. Each mosaic takes on a life of its own when light is added to the mix, each one shimmering and shifting throughout the day as the light changes. From dawn to dusk the mosaic is ever changing.
The past year has been a busy time and I now have my mosaics exhibited in a number of galleries throughout Cornwall and Devon and they feature in many private collections.
Be it digital art, photography or mosaic I strive for perfection in everything I do. My inspiration for subject matter comes from my love of nature and the British countryside. I am lucky enough to live in Cornwall, surrounded by open fields and trees so I am never without inspiration for the next project.
Each mosaic is unique, so if you see one you like but it is marked sold please contact me as I can create a similar design.
No two mosaics are ever the same as they are all hand made by myself as individual pieces.
